About Us
Since 1997 Mill Creek Networks, Inc. has provided enterprise software consulting and development services to large corporations, and since 2005 we have provided Web sites and related services to small businesses.
In 2005 we released Personal Web AssistantÔ which is a sophisticated and powerful Web site hosting and content management system designed and built for small business owners. This powerful system substantially reduces the time required to build new custom Web sites, and provides those without technical expertise with the ability to safely update the content of their Web sites. Together, these facts significantly reduce the initial costs of building new Web sites and the ongoing costs of maintaining existing Web sites.
Compared to other content management systems, Personal Web AssistantÔ is uniquely powerful and easy-to-use. It also provides a number of "safety nets" that make it nearly impossible for someone to accidentally break their Web site. For example two copies of every Web site are provided - one copy for making and previewing updates; and the other copy is the live or production site. If anything does go wrong, the problem is isolated to the preview site. The live site is not impacted. This "safety net" enables small business owners to make updates with the confidence that results from knowing that any problems encountered will not hurt their live/production Web site.
The early success of Personal Web AssistantÔ has resulted in Mill Creek Networks, Inc. having a dual focus: serving the Web site needs of small business owners; and enterprise software development needs of larger organizations. Our enterprise software development expertise benefits our small business customers because we can consult with them well beyond their immediate Web site needs - presenting opportunities for their small business to take advantage of more sophisticated technology.
Company History
Mill Creek Networks, Inc. was founded by Jeffrey Schaefer in 1997 to deliver enterprise software development and consulting services.
In 2005, the company expanded to offer Web site construction and hosting services based on it's Personal Web Assistant ™ content management system. This system was designed to substantially reduce the time and costs of creating new Web sites for small businesses, as well as enable small business owners without technical expertise to safely maintain the content of their Web sites.
Building on the early success of Personal Web AssistantÔ , Mill Creek Networks deployed a substantial update to the system in August 2009. The new version delivers more advanced functionality into the hands of small business owners; making routine Web site updates safer and easier than before.
